Lipodissolve or Lipostabil, commonly known as lipolysis injections, is a cosmetic procedure in which patients are injected with PCDC, or phosphatidylcholine deoxycholate, to eliminate fat. It is subsequently transported by the bloodstream to the liver, where it is transformed into bile acids and then excreted via the digestive tract.
What are the Side Effects?
You will note some redness, stinging, and burning within 15 mins to 2 hours after treatment, and later, swelling and bruising, which peaks between 6-72 hours. DO NOT wash or take a shower for at least 4 hours after treatment. Hot tubs, saunas, Jacuzzis, and massages are NOT recommended for 48 hours after treatment.
